Tips for MBA interviews

MBA applications require a lot of work – not only do you have to submit a well-structured CV, striking Letters of Recommendation and engaging Personal Essays. You also have to convince an Admmissions Committee in your MBA interview. This can be in person, on the phone or via video. The main piece of advice given by an expert coach on MBA Admissions is to take a lot of time to prepare for this interview and to not only start with this preparation once you have received the invitation for an interview. Her 7 pieces of advice for interviewees include:

1. to do research on the school
2. develop your personal story
3. prepare your key selling points and behavioral examples
4. practice over and over and over again
5. be prepared for different interview styles
6. be able to handle the dynamic of team-based discussions
7. follow up
